Scheffel Construction Team- National Speakers

Certified Public Accountants Mark J. Korte and Scott A. Weber, principals at Scheffel & Co. P.C., recently had a chance to share their collective expertise in the realm of construction accounting and consulting services at the Association of General Contractors Chapter Executives Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz. Between the two, they covered topics like Cost Segregation, Business Valuation, Business Transition Planning, Maximizing Bonding and Credit Capabilities, along with Job Cost Efficiency and Profitability Analysis.

"We were able to present topics that were timely and well received given the current economic climate within the construction industry," Korte said. "The general response was that it was refreshing to hear nuts and bolts information they might not have thought about before."

The invitation to speak was extended through the Southern Illinois Builders Association, of which Scheffel & Co. is a member.

During the conference, Korte and Weber interacted with chapter executives from around the Midwest, gaining a view of the industry from their perspective.

"It gave us an idea of the kind of things they encounter with construction companies in their area of the country and see what others are experiencing," Weber said.
